Harmful habits that have a negative impact on the skin

Everyone strives to achieve a perfect look on the skin, especially on the face. In our previous article, we revealed several tricks to fight wrinkles and sagging skin. Here, we will focus on the habits that we need to eliminate to achieve glowing skin. In the following lines, you will understand why sometimes you do not get the effect you are looking for, even though you do your best.

Sometimes we alternate several rituals for perfect skin, use a large number of cosmetics, and follow dozens of influencers, adhering to their tips and steps for proper facial care. We do whatever we think is necessary to achieve the perfect result so desired. At some point, however, the results are not satisfactory – the skin continues to dry out, the appearance of fine lines does not stop, and the sagging continues. The problem is rooted in the fact that, although we invest in cosmetics and time, we miss the most important thing – the harmful habits that are a part of our daily life and prevent the achievement of good and healthy skin. As long as they continue to be our habits, the result will never be satisfactory.

In the following lines, we will reveal the most harmful of them, which you

should think about and gradually eliminate.

Makeup

You get up in the morning – serum, oils, mask, etc. You get out of the bathroom – face cream, sunscreen. You go out in the evening – expensive cosmetics and makeup. So far, so good. The care is impeccable. You come home late and head directly to bed without cleaning your face and makeup off of it. It’s a habit that nullifies all other efforts you’ve made. Sleeping with make-up has an extremely adverse effect on the skin of the face. The result is clogging of the pores, which hinders their natural breathing process at night. Not removing the makeup is the first habit to break.

Use of contaminated objects

Powder and foundation sponges, blush, and eyeshadow brushes. We use them daily and therefore we need to keep them clean as they become a habitat and a breeding ground for bacteria. If you are not in the habit of cleaning them regularly, that needs to change. Wash them regularly, depending on the frequency of use – at least once a week to prevent

bacteria from accumulating.

To the items whose cleanliness must be taken care of regularly, you should also add the face towel. It also collects dirt after each subsequent wash. So change it at least every two days.

Not getting enough sleep

Adequate sleep is extremely important for maintaining healthy skin without unnecessary defects. The habit of sleeping less than 7-8 hours a day is very harmful and has been proven to lead to premature aging and the appearance of circles around the eyes.

Poor physical activity

The body needs movement and sport. The skin too. A sedentary lifestyle indicates adverse skin outcomes. Sports help to get rid of accumulated toxins in the body, which strongly affect our skin.

Sleeping on your stomach

As comfortable as it is, sleeping on your stomach also has a negative impact on your facial skin. When we sleep in this position, our face is

literally “embedded” in the pillow, and this leads to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkling of the skin.

Frequent rubbing of the eyes

Regular eye rubbing, which almost all of us have a habit of doing, at least 4 times a day, leads to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area. This is because the skin around the eyes is extremely thin, tender, and delicate.

Touching the face regularly

We all have a habit of touching our faces for no apparent reason. It often happens with unwashed hands. Thus we transfer additional germs and impurities to the face.

We’re sure you cognized yourself in at least 3 habits. Now you understand why you can’t achieve the desired radiant and smooth skin. It is necessary to get rid of harmful daily habits. Effective skin care is complex. In addition to appropriate cosmetics, it also includes building healthy habits and eliminating harmful ones.
